One area of expertise that I am particularly proud of is my work recording music for later broadcast and release. Using a range of recording equipment and techniques, I am able to produce recordings that are both true to the artist’s live sound and polished enough for commercial release.
My approach to recording music for is centered around creating a sound that captures the essence of the artist and their music. Using a combination of analog and digital recording systems, I am able to produce recordings that are both warm and clear, providing a rich listening experience for audiences.
I have also worked on shows for live broadcast, including concerts and events, which requires a different set of skills and a high level of professionalism. From pre-production planning to on-site troubleshooting, I am able to handle every aspect of the production process to ensure a smooth and successful broadcast.
One project that stands out is my work on Avantdale Bowling Club’s album “Live,” which I recorded at the powerstation for RNZ National, and then was subsequently released as an album reaching number 4 on the top 40 chart.
